SRE UNAIR Set to Announce New Executive Board as Transition Period Concludes
Society of Renewable Energy Universitas Airlangga (SRE UNAIR) is set to announce its new executive board following the completion of a leadership transition period, marking the end of the 2025 management term and the beginning of a new organizational cycle in 2026.
The 2025 executive board officially concluded its term on December 31, 2025. The year has been positioned as a foundational period for organizational regeneration, laying the groundwork for leadership continuity and long-term development within the organization.
Throughout 2025, SRE UNAIR expanded its scope of activities through collaborations with various partners and the implementation of programs spanning training, educational initiatives, and community service.
Two flagship projects highlighted SRE UNAIR’s activities during the year. The first was the development of a sensor device called SAINT, which means Stasiun Monitoring Kesehatan Tubuh Otomatis Berbasis Raspberry Pi 5 terintegrasi aplikasi healthcare. The device was given to residents of Nampu Village in Madiun as part of a community-based technology initiative. The second project involved the installation of solar panels, carried out in collaboration with IMERCY UNAIR, on the rooftops of the Workshop and NANO Buildings at Universitas Airlangga’s C Campus.

The transition period, which took place throughout January, was dedicated to strengthening the readiness of the incoming executive board to manage the organization effectively. During this phase, the new generation of leaders faced a range of challenges. Despite these challenges, the transition process has shown encouraging progress, according to internal assessments. With the transition period nearing completion, SRE UNAIR is expected to formally announce its new executive board in the near future.
The newly appointed leadership will serve as the organization’s operational backbone in 2026.
